Army finds new role in Lebanon

The overwhelming grief at the funeral of Private Omar Haj in a small village near the southern town of Sidon could not conceal the family’s doubts over the battle that he had died in.

“This is not our fight, why are Muslims killing Muslims?” wailed two of his aunts. They were shouted down by Omar’s sisters: “They are terrorists, not Muslims.”
