Cadbury recalls Beijing-made chocolates

Cadbury has recalled nearly a dozen kinds of chocolate made in its Beijing factory after its own tests showed they could be contaminated with the industrial chemical melamine, which has put more than 10,000 children into hospital and causedseveral deaths in China.

The confectionery group said it had sent its chocolate outside China for testing even though the Chinese dairy from which it buys fresh milk had been cleared by the Chinese government of melamine contamination.
