Learning to share, as any parent will  know, is not the  easiest lesson to teach. However, a bit of give-and-take can bring immense rewards to a growing business, particularly in these difficult times.

Stephen Phillips, founder of Spring, a market research business, has been sub- letting some of his 25,000 sq ft office space, and readily admits that there was an economic case for sharing his premises.
