Sir, You claim that, in an interview with the FT, African National Congress president Jacob Zuma “all but dismissed [Thabo] Mbeki and his cabinet ministers as lame ducks” (“Zuma says he is more powerful than Mbeki”, March 7). This assertion is not borne out by the transcript of the interview, which, helpfully, is available on ft.com.
