UK businesses ‘lack sales momentum’

British entrepreneurs are underselling themselves worldwide, according to David Wei, chief executive of Alibaba.com, the world’s largest business-to-business internet marketplace.

The former head of B&Q in China, speaking to the Financial Times at this week’s Global Entrepreneurship Week launch in London, said the UK should have an advantage on the world stage because English is the language of business.
