Eurozone economic sentiment improves

Eurozone recovery prospects appeared to have gained momentum this month with a closely watched survey showing optimism rising again and Germany reporting only a slight rise in unemployment.

The European Commission reported its eurozone “economic sentiment ” index had risen for a second consecutive month. The index is regarded as a guide to future trends in activity.
