Art and design

London’s Frieze Art Fair brings with it plenty of interesting design events. DesignArt London in Berkeley Square is a four-day selling exhibition featuring more than 30 design galleries, while New Bond Street antique dealer Mallett is showing “Meta”, a collection of works by the likes of BarberOsgerby, Matali Crasset and Wales & Wales, that employs 18th-century craft techniques. And in the Brompton Design District Dorset cabinetmaker Litton Furniture is showcasing 10 pieces in rarely used sustainable English timbers, including bog oak, rippled sycamore and burr ash, created in collaboration with designers Terence Conran and Andrée Putman.
