London mayor plans 32,000 new homes

Boris Johnson will today announce plans to speed up the delivery of public land in London to create up to 32,000 new social homes beyond current targets.

The mayor will launch an exercise to calculate how much land is owned by authorities such as the London Development Agency, the Metropolitan Police and the emergency services.
