Britain's Conservatives in the European parliament are now being led by a Polish MEP who once belonged to a "homophobic, racist, anti-semitic" organisation that used the Nazi salute, according to a senior Tory MEP.
Edward McMillan-Scott, a former leader of the Tory group in Strasbourg, was yesterday booted out of the party after an astonishing attempt to block the appointment to a senior position of the Polish conservative Michal Kaminski.
