Saakashvili to talk with Georgia opposition

Mikheil Saakashvili, the president of Georgia, will hold talks with the opposition on Monday aimed at ending a month-long political deadlock in the former Soviet country where street protesters are calling for him to resign.

“Mikheil Saakashvili hopes the government will be able to overcome the existing problems in the country by means of joint efforts with all political forces,” the government said in a statement on Sunday.
