Yorkshire Bank puts art to work on debit cards

Yorkshire Bank will on Wednesday launch what it believes is the UK’s first debit card featuring a work of art, becoming the latest global bank to emphasise its local roots to reassure and attract customers.

The Leeds-based institution, which is part of a multinational Australian group, is to use a moorland scene painted by Ashley Jackson, the Yorkshire landscape artist, near his childhood home in Barnsley.
