UBS talks to big guns for wealth job

The search by UBS for a new head of its US wealth management division is being complicated by its long-running battle with the tax authorities and some executives’ reluctance to take the helm at the underperforming unit.

People close to the situation said the Swiss bank had approached senior industry figures including Bob McCann, a former Merrill Lynch executive, and Sallie Krawcheck, former head of Citigroup’s brokerage business.
