Nuclear plans hit as green groups withdraw

Plans for the next generation of nuclear power stations have been threatened with more delays after environmental groups pulled out of the government's consultation.

The campaigners, which include Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth and the Green Alliance, say they maychallenge the government's plans in the courts, further holding up new investment in nuclear power.
