White Nile down on death of Dr Garang

Shares in White Nile slumped more than 12 per cent yesterday after the death of John Garang, the vice-president of Sudan and an important company ally.

The Aim-listed oil exploration company, founded by former England cricketer Phil Edmonds, plans to develop a prospect known as Block Ba in the oil-rich south of Sudan.
