Britons oppose open door to EU member states

Britain's "open door" policy for workers from the 10 new European Union member states has provoked a backlash, an opinion poll for the Financial Times suggests on Friday.

Some 76 per cent of Britons said there were too many immigrants in their country, in a survey conducted by Harris Interactive - the highest proportion of any big western European country included in the poll.
