Kagame aide faces extradition to France

Rose Kabuye, the chief of protocol to President Paul Kagame of Rwanda, was facing extradition to France on Sunday after German police arrested her in connection with her alleged involvement in the incident that sparked the Rwandan genocide in 1994.

It is the first time a warrant has been executed since French and Spanish judges sought to use the principle of universal jurisdiction to indict members of the Rwandan administration, including Mr Kagame himself, for their alleged complicity in past war crimes.
