Sagging oil price drags on Wall Street

Sinking oil prices dragged US stocks lower in choppy trading on Thursday, overshadowing a rush of deals and higher profit at Walmart.

Investors also remained cautious after the previous session’s rally when Wall Street closed at its highest level since October last year. Data showing a steeper drop in claims for unemployment benefits for unemployment benefits than had been expected lifted confidence.
