Holiday home equity used to pay off UK debts

Property specialists have seen a rise in the number of people who are releasing equity from holiday homes abroad to pay off debt or buy houses in the UK.

The strong euro means that equity in second homes in France or Spain is now worth a great deal more when converted back to sterling.
