Struggling trio hire fresh talent

A trio of asset management companies have reacted to sharp falls in their volume of UK pension fund business by embarking on hiring blitzes in an attempt to turn round poor investment performance.

UBS Global Asset Management, Capital International and Fidelity International all saw the book of assets they manage on behalf of UK pension funds plunge by a fifth in 2007, FTfm's annual survey reveals.
