Ultra salutes demand for military radios

Strong demand for military tactical radios helped drive underlying profits at Ultra Electronics up 16 per cent in the first six months of the year.

The company, which supplies electronic equipment to the aerospace and defence industries, landed contracts worth more than $100m (£51m) in the first half of the year for its high-capacity radios, providing communications for armed forces.
