Stringer fine-tunes Sony’s top tier

The contrast between the stony face of Ryoji Chubachi, Sony’s outgoing president, and the Cheshire Cat grins of Sir Howard Stringer and the young executives he calls his “four musketeers” told its own story on Friday.

Asked whether Sony should appoint another president, Sir Howard said: “I think I’d like to eliminate bureaucracy for a change.”
