Prada appoints advisers for probable 2008 IPO

Prada on Wednesday appointed advisers for its initial public offering, indicating that the Italian fashion house is serious this time after a number of failed attempts to list.

Prada has undergone a restructuring and has been cleaning up its balance sheet, and divesting brands. In October, it hired its first chief operating officer.
