Sarin to step down from Vodafone helm

Arun Sarin on Tuesday confirmed he is to stand down as chief executive of Vodafone after five years of leading the world’s largest mobile phone operator by revenue.

Mr Sarin, 53, steps down on July 29. He will be succeeded by Vittorio Colao, 46, currently Vodafone’s deputy chief executive and head of its European operations.
