Tradition, Prime Source in derivatives valuation venture

Efforts to bring about greater transparency to the pricing of certain derivatives instruments have moved a step forward after Tradition, an inter-dealer broker, agreed to provide end-of-day pricing on certain over-the-counter (OTC) financial products to Prime Source, a data manager.

Prime Source was launched last year by NYSE Euronext as the exchange group’s entry into the race to establish the industry standard platform for evaluating complex structured products and illiquid securities.
