Wall St up as Bush offers subprime help

Wall Street ended the week mixed after a stuttering rebound followed the heavy losses suffered on Tuesday with continuing disquiet about the fallout from the subprime mortgage crisis.

The leading indices all closed higher for the day, after President George Bush announced that the US government would help some Americans with delinquent mortgages keep their homes.
