Most foreign companies moving into China gravitate towards Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, but some of the biggest opportunities for British business lie outside these established centres, according to a report funded by the UK government.

“Opportunities for UK Businesses in China’s Regional Cities” has identified 35 Chinese cities of more than 1m people where infrastructure investment is surging, growth in key sectors is faster and the business environment is less overheated than in better known centres.
