Athlete investors: Rift Valley runners bring gold back to Eldorat

On October 4, the Rift valley town of Eldoret came to a standstill for the homecoming ceremony of the Beijing Olympics team. With a final tally of 14 medals, this was the most successful team in five decades.

Crowds lined the roads from the airport all the way to Kipchoge Keino Stadium. Mixed with the fans were staff of the two banks sponsoring the event – KCB and Barclays.
