Merkel's coalition prepares for post-election policy push

Campaigning for this weekend's "super election Sunday", when three of Germany's 16 states elect their parliaments, has been, "the most boring in years", exclaims Peter Loesche the veteran political scientist.

But the votes are expected to mark the moment chancellor Angela Merkel's left-right coalition finally gets down to work after four eventless months in power.
