Aussie dollar rallies after rate cut

The Australian dollar rebounded from 10-week lows against the US dollar yesterday after the Reserve Bank of Australia hinted it could slow monetary easing.

As expected, the RBA cut interest rates by 100 basis points to a record low of 3.25 per cent after its policy meeting. This was the fifth rate cut in six months and takes the reduction since September to 400bp.
