Peers call for tax incentive to boost use of biofuels

Britain is falling short of its targets on introducing biofuels and should consider tax incentives to spur their development, according to an all-party group of peers.

In a report published today, the Lords European Union committee welcomes the government's renewable transport fuel obligation, which stipulates biofuels must make up 5 per cent of vehicle fuels by 2010.
