Banks’ attitude to SMEs alarms Mandelson

Banks are coming under increased pressure to offer small companies a better deal after Lord Mandelson criticised the “alarming” behaviour of some branches.

The business secretary said he was concerned that some banks were summarily changing the terms of loans to small companies.
