BBC Worldwide is hoping to reach at least triple its number of magazine readers in the US with the launch of a title bringing together science, history and nature articles from its existing portfolio of publications.

BBC Knowledge Magazine, due to launch in August, is aimed at “the curious mind”, the commercial arm of the UK broadcaster said on Tuesday. It will launch with a print run of 85,000 copies, well in excess of the 34,000 copies of other BBC Worldwide magazines currently sold in the US.
