IFRS under fire but rulemakers stick to their guns and oppose change

An outburst of corporate discontent over international accounting standards is unlikely to force a fundamental revision of the rule-makers' approach, according to experts.

International Financial Reporting Standards came under fire from the influential Hundred Group of finance directors last week for making accounts more opaque and less useful.
