Rate of decline in jobs market slows

The pace of decline in the jobs market moderated last month, the recruitment industry said on Tuesday, in the latest sign of measured optimism about the employment outlook.

Job appointments for permanent staff and billings for temporary staff declined in April at their slowest rate for seven months, according to a survey of 400 recruiters by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation and KPMG, the professional services group.
