Karzai attacks ‘shocking’ leak of files

Hamid Karzai, Afghanistan’s president, has branded as “shocking” WikiLeak’s release of files disclosing the names of Afghans who worked with US forces, saying their publication could put lives at risk.

Some of the 75,000 Afghan war documents published by the website that posts classified files refer to individuals who have given tips to Nato forces, raising fears they could be targeted by insurgents.
