3 ordered to cut charge by 45%

3, the mobile phone operator owned by Hong Kong’s Hutchison Whampoa, was dealt a blow by UK competition authorities on Tuesday.

It must comply with a decision by the telecoms regulator that requires a 45 per cent cut in the charges it imposes on rival companies to connect phone calls to its network.
