WestLB nightmare returns in Sengera trial

History yesterday came back to haunt WestLB, the publicly owned German bank that was hit by a double-whammy of market losses last year, as a criminal trial against one of its former chief executives started in Germany.

Jürgen Sengera appeared in a state court in Dusseldorf, where WestLB is based, facing charges of untreue , or breaching his fiduciary duty.
