Bidders vie for coveted ANA hotel portfolio

All Nippon Airways’ Japanese hotel portfolio has drawn 30 bids, reflecting the unusual opportunity the sale provides for foreign real estate investors keen for Japanese exposure.

ANA is selling 13 hotels and is now expected to pocket $2.1bn in proceeds, more than double what analysts forecast three months ago when the airline put the hotels up for bid.
