Continental unions accept concessions

Pilots at Continental Airlines on Wednesday voted to approve $213m in compensation and benefits cuts, while the Teamsters, representing aviation technicians, also accepted contract changes.

The moves bring the carrier a step closer to achieving up to $500m in annual concessions, and helps it address the high fuel prices and low-yield environment that plague the industry.
