Dollar weakens ahead of Fed meeting

The dollar lost ground on Tuesday as caution ahead of the Federal Reserve’s policy meeting weighed on the currency.

Analysts said the dollar headed into today’s Federal Open Market Committee meeting in a weak position, its main vulnerability being that it was a deficit currency with no yield advantage.
