Changing places: Burns takes lead at Xerox

Ursula Burns takes over from Anne Mulcahy as chief executive of Xerox Corporation and company president. Ms Mulcahy is retiring but remains chairman. She said: “Ursula takes on the leadership role the old-fashioned way. She has earned it.”

Ms Burns, 50, joined Xerox in 1980 as a mechanical engineering summer intern. She became president of Xerox in 2007.
