Phelps takes sixth gold as sprinters warm up

It was just another morning’s work at the Water Cube for American swimmer Michael Phelps as he added his sixth gold medal and sixth world record for the games.

The 200 metres individual medley on Friday morning was considered to be one the most difficult for him, competing as he was against colleague Ryan Lochte, who had finished so close to him in the US Olympic Trials six weeks ago.
