Super-casino chief denies process tainted by politics

The man responsible for deciding where the UK's first super-casino will be built has hit back at critics who have alleged political interference in the selection procedure.

Stephen Crow, chairman of the Casino Advisory Panel, said: "We have had criteria laid down to us by the secretary of state but other than that we have had no political guidance, interference or pressure whatsoever."
