LG Electronics to sponsor F1

Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone unveiled a recession-busting sponsorship deal on Wednesday with LG Electronics, the South Korean consumer electronics group, for an undisclosed sum.

The five-year deal, starting next season, gives LG significant on-screen branding during F1 broadcasts, as well as a partnership to provide technology to F1 and develop consumer products with F1 branding.
