Turf TV signed a second big client to its racing television service when Ladbrokes agreed to pay £6,500 ($12,901) for each of its 2,200 betting shops to use the service.
Bookmakers had resisted signing up to Turf, which is owned by 31 of the UK’s 59 licensed racecourses and a technology company called Alphameric, because they wanted to run their own system, called Satellite Information Services (SIS), which has a contract with the remaining 28 courses.
