Property: Market picks up but faces strong headwinds

Developers in Yorkshire have never been short of ambition, but it is a lack of cash that has undermined plans to revitalise the region’s office, shopping and residential markets over the past two years.

Trinity Walk, the shopping centre being built in Wakefield, has become the exception to the development freeze around the region, having been saved by a consortium of investors after it went into administration at the end of last year.
