Social browser moves into money-making mode

Flock enjoyed 15 minutes of fame as one of Silicon Valley’s most talked-about start-ups when it first showed an early version of its “social brower” – a web browser designed to incorporate instant messaging and blogs to help track friends easier.

Yet it has taken three and a half years and a change of chief executive for the company to start the serious business of trying to make money.
