Boldness pays off for investors in Japanese small-caps

Foreigners are the only people interested in buying disaster-prone Japanese small-caps, judging by figures showing a quadrupling of their share of Jasdaq in 2006-07.

The question many are asking is, not “why are the Japanese steering clear of their own market?” It is, rather, “why is anyone at all buying Japanese small-caps?”
