Israel’s envoy to the United Nations said on Wednesday that the controversial Goldstone report on alleged war crimes in Gaza was a barrier to resuming peace talks with the Palestinians.
“We cannot resume the peace process as long as this report is on the table,” Gabriela Shalev told reporters after addressing a UN Security Council session at which Riad al-Malki, Palestinian Authority foreign minister, called on the world body to end Israel’s “unchecked impunity”.
