Scotland smoking ban cuts heart attacks

Scotland’s smoking ban has produced significant public health benefits in its first year, with 17 per cent fewer hospital admissions for heart attacks.

The figure was revealed on Monday at an Edinburgh conference on the impact of last March’s ban on smoking in enclosed public spaces such as pubs.
